Skin Boosters

Skin Boosters

Skin boosters are injectable treatments that deliver highly concentrated hyaluronic acid or other bioactive molecules directly into the dermis to deeply hydrate, plump, and improve the overall quality of the skin. Unlike traditional dermal fillers that add volume or shape, skin boosters work by restoring hydration at a cellular level, improving skin elasticity, smoothness, and radiance from within.

How Skin Boosters Work

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring molecule in the skin that holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water. With ageing, HA levels decline, leading to dryness, dullness, and loss of skin elasticity. Skin booster treatments use stabilised, injectable HA formulations that integrate into the dermis, binding water molecules and restoring hydration where topical products cannot reach. Over time, the treatment also stimulates fibroblast activity and collagen synthesis, improving skin quality beyond simple hydration.

Popular Skin Booster Options

Restylane Vital / Juvederm Volite

Established injectable HA skin boosters that improve skin hydration, elasticity, and fine surface lines with a series of intradermal microinjections. Results last 6–9 months.

Profhilo

A unique injectable HA formulation with the highest concentration of HA among skin boosters. It bio-remodels the skin by stimulating collagen and elastin production while providing intense hydration, with a special spreading property that requires only a few injection points. Particularly effective for skin laxity and overall quality improvement.

Teosyal Redensity

A multi-ingredient skin booster that combines HA with amino acids, vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals for comprehensive skin nutrition and hydration, particularly suited for the delicate under-eye area and general facial rejuvenation.

Conditions & Concerns Addressed

  • Dry, dehydrated, and dull skin.

  • Fine lines and crepe-like skin texture.

  • Loss of skin elasticity and firmness.

  • Overall skin quality decline with ageing.

  • Under-eye area and neck rejuvenation.

  • Post-summer or post-laser skin recovery and hydration.

The Treatment Process

1. Consultation & Product Selection

Based on your skin condition, concerns, and goals, the most appropriate skin booster product and injection protocol are selected.

2. Treatment Session

A topical numbing cream is applied before the session. The skin booster is administered using a fine needle or microcannula in a series of small intradermal injections across the treatment area. The face, neck, décolletage, and hands can all be treated. Sessions typically take 30–45 minutes.

3. Post-Treatment Care

Small, temporary bumps at injection sites resolve within 24–48 hours. Mild redness or swelling is normal. Patients are advised to avoid strenuous exercise, heat exposure, and makeup on the day of treatment.

Benefits of Skin Boosters

  • Deep dermal hydration that topical products cannot achieve.

  • Improves skin texture, radiance, and overall quality.

  • Stimulates collagen and elastin for lasting skin improvement.

  • Natural-looking results — enhances your own skin without changing facial features.

  • Suitable for the face, neck, décolletage, and hands.

What to Expect

An initial course of 2–3 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart is typically recommended. Visible improvement in skin hydration and glow becomes apparent after the first session, with progressive improvement in texture and elasticity over the full course. Maintenance sessions every 6–9 months sustain results. Skin boosters are an excellent complement to other aesthetic treatments and are suitable for patients in their late 20s onwards seeking to maintain or restore skin quality.
